I've always been a creative person. For over 12 years, I worked in the floral business. After that, I used my creative side to manage social media for a local farm, bed and breakfast, and restaurants.Later, my career took me into the industrial world. I truly love my job, but there isn't much room for creativity. After a while, I realized I really missed having a creative outlet. I still love to paint, and I always will. But creating books gave me something different. It gave me something I could share with my granddaughter.After a trip to Dauphin Island, the idea for my first children's book came to me. That book became Little Louise Visits Dauphin Island. Then I started making coloring books for my granddaughter. We spent evenings coloring while watching movies, talking about everything and nothing. Those simple little moments are some of my favorite memories.One book turned into another, and before I knew it, Just Mousey was growing. Along the way, I even created two coloring books for adults: Cussing and Coloring Through Perimenopause and Coloring Love Notes. Just for the ladies.I'm a woman who raised three kids on my own. Life has put me into a tailspin a few times, but I've learned that you have to keep moving forward. I love music, animals, nature, and finding joy in the little things. I'm an introvert and truly enjoy being at home on my little patch of dirt on this earth. I'm a spiritual soul, I curse like a sailor, and I'm embracing this new stage of my life that I call my old crone hag era.Just Mousey isn't a business. It's my hobby. It's my creative outlet. It's my little itty bitty tiny piece of the internet where I get to create, have fun, and share.I hope you find something that makes you smile. - J.M.
